The Shortbody Flowerhorn is an extraordinary hybrid cichlid combining the unmistakable personality and coloration of a Flowerhorn with a compact, short-bodied appearance. At approximately 8 inches, these fish are already substantial specimens with incredible display potential.

Flowerhorns are prized for their interactive behavior, vibrant coloration, pearling, and distinctive head development. Shortbody specimens have an especially unusual profile that makes them stand out even among other premium Flowerhorns.

These are highly territorial fish and are generally best maintained individually unless the aquarist has extensive experience with large aggressive cichlids. Excellent filtration and consistent water quality are important.
