The Red Devil Cichlid is one of the most iconic large aggressive cichlids in the aquarium hobby. Known for its intense personality, powerful build, and brilliant orange-to-red coloration, this is a true centerpiece fish.

At approximately 12–14 inches, these are exceptionally impressive specimens that need a large aquarium, robust filtration, and an experienced keeper. Red Devils are highly territorial and can be extremely aggressive toward other fish.

For aquarists who enjoy intelligent, interactive fish, however, few cichlids have as much personality. Many quickly learn to recognize their keeper and eagerly approach the front of the aquarium at feeding time.
