About This Fish

Golden Xanthic Fire Eel (Mastacembelus erythrotaenia)

The Golden Xanthic Fire Eel is an exceptionally rare color morph of the classic Fire Eel, prized for its brilliant golden coloration and striking pattern. Intelligent and highly interactive, these fascinating fish often learn to recognize their owners and can even become hand-fed over time.

As they mature, they develop into impressive centerpiece fish that thrive in spacious aquariums with soft substrate and plenty of hiding places.

Our Golden Xanthic Fire Eels are fully acclimated and feeding well before shipment.
